Application Timeline

July 2022: Enrolled in A2GMAT’s comprehensive course. Took the GMAT 4 times between 2023 and early 2024 with unsatisfactory results. Enrolled in Dustin’s Terminator program in early 2024. Achieved my target score in June 2024. Started preparing application materials in July 2024. Successfully admitted to schools in March 2025.

Why I Chose Dustin’s Terminator Program

After completing the course in August 2022, I prepared on my own and took the GMAT four times with no improvement. I felt stuck studying at home, and honestly, I need someone to push me! I also wanted to start the application process in 2024, as I was delaying it too much and missing out on a social life. So, I decided to join Dustin’s Terminator program, hoping his personalized study plan and guidance would provide the necessary pressure and motivation to study diligently.

By the way, the intensive study in the Terminator program really boosted my English skills. I only scored an 11 on the academic entrance exam before, which is pretty low! 😂😂😂

Section-by-Section Feedback

Quantitative (Q):

This was my strongest section, and honestly, the easiest to score on!

Math has always clicked for me, so I didn’t need to put in a ton of study time. Still, working through the problems felt like progress, which made the rest of the studying feel less overwhelming. I was aiming for a perfect score, so I tackled the math problems KH provided first thing every day. Thankfully, I hit that perfect score, which gave my overall GMAT score a huge lift! The Terminator program also offered plenty of consultation time with KH for any questions, making it super convenient and helpful.

Data Insights (DI):

This section is a mixed bag – the math is easy, but you have to read a lot, which can be a real challenge!

I used to be the type to calculate exact numbers because I’m comfortable with math. But KH taught me a crucial DI strategy: estimations are usually good enough. You don’t need to be precise; “good enough” estimates often make the answer choices clear. For interpretation questions, Dustin also showed me a logical problem-solving sequence. This completely changed how I approached it, moving from random guessing to a structured method, and it cut down my DI solving time significantly. I was still racing through the last few questions on the actual exam, but I managed to finish!

Verbal:

This was my weak spot, but the Terminator program’s strategies made even my weakness much more manageable!

For Critical Reasoning (CR), the “logic chain” technique was a game-changer. It made everything in CR feel logical and connected! At first, I found building logic chains tough, but by focusing on a “one-step-at-a-time” approach, I slowly learned to link causes and effects. Consistent timed practice made building logic chains much smoother. Even when I used this method during the exam, I didn’t run over time!

For Reading Comprehension (RC), you don’t need to read the entire passage to select the correct answer! First, skim the passage, then when you return to locate information for the questions, read more carefully. This prevents wasting time and getting bogged down in parts you don’t understand. Again, developing good timing habits during practice is crucial. With more practice, your RC speed will improve!

Overall:

When practicing any section, I would paste my incorrect answers into an Excel sheet, along with my reasoning, Dustin’s or KH’s reasoning, and the reason for the error. When I felt frustrated or tired from practicing, I would review this error log. This helped me gradually identify my weak areas and make targeted improvements. I only reviewed this log before the exam, which was very helpful for revision!

Study Plan & Tools

Dustin initially created a study plan tailored to my schedule. Even though I often missed my deadlines, having a target progress level put pressure on me to get as much done as possible. I remember delaying my second meeting with Dustin by a month because I completely fell behind on the first study plan – honestly, it was a mix of laziness and the daily tasks taking much longer than I expected. Dustin didn’t get mad; he just encouraged me to reach out whenever I hit roadblocks so he could help me figure things out. He also suggested a focus app to combat phone distractions. He really was like a supportive father figure! His approach made me feel comfortable asking even the “silly” questions. Once we sorted out my study method issues, I gradually started keeping up with the plan.

What was really unique was Dustin’s development of numerous ChatGPT study tools. Whether it was for reading comprehension, vocabulary, or sentence analysis, there were tools for everything. Using ChatGPT was the part of studying I enjoyed most because I could really dig into areas where I had questions and ask for different kinds of example sentences to practice!

My Sincere Recommendation for Dustin’s Terminator Program

If you’re like me and tend to procrastinate, needing that external push, the Terminator program is absolutely your best bet!

The Terminator program comprehensively covers every section, building good test-taking habits from scratch. It might feel unfamiliar at first, but you’ll become more proficient with practice and gain a deeper understanding of the problem-solving methods. You’ll feel much more confident during the actual exam!

Long story short, I can’t recommend the Terminator course enough!

To You Who Are Still Preparing for the GMAT

The GMAT prep journey can be tough, but the feeling of getting accepted into your dream school will make all the struggles completely worth it. Don’t give up, keep pushing! I truly hope everyone hits their target score and gets into their desired MBA program!
